THE HISTORY OF: Colbrooke Lodge #39

The present building was constructed in 1927 by the fraternity to house their lodge as well as other meeting rooms, and a kitchen. The history of Colebrooke Lodge #39 begins in 1905, when the first meeting was held on the second floor of Fred Wilson's Blacksmith Shop on Broadway Boulevard. Titled after the original name for the settlement of Grand Falls, Colebrooke Lodge #39 was constituted in 1906, with R.W.: Archibald R. Hallet presiding as the first Worshipful Master. At present, there are 42 members.
