Brethren,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank W. B. Ellsworth and his team of installing officers for the great work they did on the installation in December and I would also like to thank the officers for the great work at our January communication.

We are now finally off and running. You have noticed that this is a two month bulletin. Brother Burns and I, together with our wives will be away March 3rd to April 3rd. In order for me to be available for our March communication, it will be moved to February 27th.

On February 2nd we will be doing our annual reports and the Jr. Warden will have something new to share with you that will be part of the communication for the rest of the year. I would like to remind the officers that at our meeting on February 27th, we will be doing a first degree and I encourage all to start studying their respective parts, so that we will be ready to make the evening impressive for our candidate.

It was my great honor to attend a Masonic funeral service in which more than 150 of the brethren took part. It occurred to me that this was one of the reasons I became a mason; to be among my brethren, to support my brother’s widow and orphans, to feel like part of the whole, and to surround myself with good men trying to be better.

As part of our ongoing Masonic Education Program, I would encourage all Keith Lodge members to volunteer to provide us with a one or two minute explanation of something… anything, about our ritual or our lodge itself that we may not know or that we may have forgotten.

In closing, I would like to encourage all members, be they old or new, to come to lodge and support your officers and perhaps meet a new brother. Remember, we now have a great sound system and if you stopped coming because you could not hear properly, the problem has been solved.
