Freemasonry in Moncton, Keith Lodge No. 23 F. & A. M. |
| Master's Message for February 2010 |
Brethren: No organization can boost a more solid and historical foundation than that of Freemasonry built by dedicated men of all walks of life. With warmer weather just around the corner, this is definitely true of Keith Lodge having ten(10) newly passed Enterered Apprentices beginning their Masonic life. Two of our Enterered Apprentices have also begun their family life by becoming fathers. At our May communication, five(5) of our Enterered Apprentices will take another step in their Masonic life by completing their EA examination and obligation; the other will complete theirs during the June communication. Come out and encourage them along their Masonic journey. I would like to congratulate the officers for their excellent work and especially the brethren who performed the lectures in the dedicated manner that Keith Lodge has come to expect. The brethren and visitors are looking forward to the exemplification of the Fellowcraft degree in June. At our May communication, the DDGM’s of Districts 2 & 7 will be conducting phase three of their Training Sessions on May 5th. All brethren and visitors are urged to attend. Included in this session will be more ritual and floor work and a presentation on the Grand Master’s Award. On Monday, May 3rd; we will be taking the “Travelling Gavel” to Coverdale Lodge on that evening. It is our hope that many Keith Lodge members will cross the Petitcodiac River to Coverdale Lodge to join us for this trip. Steven Lodge had set the standard. Let’s fill up the sidelines raising the standard for delivering the Gavel at future Lodges. Our younger officers will provide the Masonic Education on that evening. Grand Lodge will be held on May 7th and 8th in Saint John. All master masons are welcome to attend with Masters and Wardens voting on motions and Grand Lodge officers. We will be sending several car loads on Saturday so if you have never been to Saint John for this event or would like to go, please give me a call to arrange a ride. With the weather warming up, we hope to see as many of you as possible at our May 5th communication. If you need a drive to Lodge, please call me or one of the officers. Fraternally yours, |
