Master's Message for September 2010

Brethren:

Greetings from the East from what I hope was a very enjoyable summer weather-wise compared to recent ones. I trust that you are looking forward to a very busy time at Keith Lodge in the next four months. Please keep these events in mind:

At our Regular Communication on September 1st, three (3) Entered Apprentices will complete their EA examination. Following that, we will confer the Fellowcraft degree on Robert McClure Weir, Charles Uriah Cormier, and Adam Calvin Danny Elaschuk. We will also present Long Service Awards at this meeting with the Grand Master, MWB Miles Graham in attendance.  A roast beef dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. for only $12.00 before the meeting.

At our regular Communication on Wednesday, October 6th, we will have our second Annual Masonic Education Night under the very capable leadership of the Senior Deacon, Bro. Alex Elaschuk.

During two Emergent meetings on Friday, October 29th and Tuesday, November 2nd and the Regular Communication on Wednesday, November 3rd, we will confer the Master Masons degree upon up to ten (10) candidates. The Third Degree Lectures and a special Remembrance Day programme will also be presented at our Regular November Communication which is also Past Masters’ Night.

Since our next communication falls on September 1st, and Howard Lodge communication will be on Tuesday, September 7, 2010, I will be attending Howard Lodge that evening as it does not conflict with our practice night. I would like as many officers and members as possible to make an effort to attend Howard Lodge with me.

Presently we have several Brethren who have not paid their 2010 dues. With all the brethren paying their annual dues, the work of the Lodge can be carried out. If you have overlooked this matter, please look after this matter in the next few weeks.

With fall creeping up on us, we hope to see as many as you as possible at our September 1st communication. Again, if you need a ride to Lodge, do not hesitate to call me or one of the officers.

Fraternally yours,

WB Leigh Manning,
WM Keith Lodge
